The “Mircea” is one of the three Romanian tall ships enrolled in the Black Sea Regatta 2014. She is the only Class A boat of the three and has trained over 70 cohorts of sailors over the years. You can visit it for free in Constanţa Port between 24 and 27 May.

The “Mircea”, the only Romanian Class A tall ship enrolled in the Black Sea Regatta 2014, was built in 1938–1939 in Hamburg, Germany, and was commissioned by the Romanian Royal Marine on 17 May 1939. She bears the name of a former prince of Wallachia, Mircea the Elder. Her latest dry dock was undertaken in 2002, which made the boat one of the most modern tall ships of her class.

Over 70 cohorts of sailors have trained aboard Romania’s historic tall ship over the years. Let us show you a short movie which will introduce you to with the sailors’ training routine.

The main partners of the event are EximBank, Pepsi-Cola and the Vega Hotel.
