Mircea Tall Ship - Class A (Romania)

Mircea is one of the two Romanian tall ships which are participating in the Black Sea Tall Ships Regatta 2016, and can be visited free of charge in Constanta port between 8 and 11 September 2016.

Mircea was manufactured between 1938 and 1939 in Hamburg, Germany, and entered Romanian Royal Navy service on 17 May 1939. The name is inspired by the name of the ruler of Wallachia, Mircea the Elder. The last general revision of the Mircea was in 2002, which made the ship one of the most modern of the tall ships belonging to the same Class.
