Interesting statistics about Black Sea Tall Ships Regatta 2014

The Black Sea tall Ships Regatta will take place in Constanta port between 24-27 May 2014. 20 of the most impressive tall ships will be visited tax free while alongside.

The total number of competing tall ships 13.

Asembled length of all vessels is 1128 meters and the tall ship with the biggest deadweight enrolled in the competition is Sedov (the biggest sailing ship in the world), 3,432 tons.

Sedov also holds the record of the oldest tall ship enrolled in the competition, being built 93 years ago.

The Black Sea Tall Ships Regattta 2014 will write history because it is the first time in the regattas history when 4 Russian tall ships Class A will participate in the same competition: Mir, Kruzenshtem, Sedov and Nadezhda.

The competition is very important for the Romanian ship Mircea, because on May 17 2014 the ship celebrates 75 years since it has been built.
